I’ll admit, this one is the most self-indulgents. It’s probably not fair to compare a duo who gave us eight glorious seasons as everyone’s favorite psychic detective and pharmaceutical salesman (AKA: “Jazz Hands,” “Lavander Gooms,” “Donut Holstein,” or my personal favorite, “Magic Head”), but it’s impossible not to talk about best on-screen chemistry without bringing up James Roday and Dulé Hill as Shawn and Gus. During their run of USA Network’s Psych, Roday and Hill became one of the best comedy duos on television, and their remarkable comradery offscreen elevated their performance onscreen. Even though the TV movie aired after a three-year hiatus from the series finale, Roday and Hil didn’t seem to lose a beat. Though if their promotional videos are any indication, they went through a rigorous training regimen to regain their ability to do no-look fist bumps, improvise nicknames, scream in high-pitched tones, and say their beloved catchphrases, “I’ve heard it both ways” and “Come on, son.”
