Jacob & Queenie
Jacob and Queenie’s relationship was one of my favorite parts about Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, because they seemed like the perfect couple from the moment they met. Unfortunately, Jacqueenie (their ship name according to my five-second Google search) is stuck in a Romeo-and-Juliet type situation. Jacob’s a muggle (I refuse to use “no-maj” because I think it sounds stupid) and Queenie’s a Legilimen (she can extract people’s feelings and memories) and because of it feels rather lonely. But her powers are what make their relationship special, because Queenie is able to read Jacob’s emotions and still completely trust him. Sadly, the magical world isn’t kind to inter-magical relationships, and the looming threat of the Obliviate spell to erase Jacob’s memories puts a damper on their time together. Still, I have a feeling that the upcoming sequel will find a way to work around it.
